Kosatsu was an official bulletin board to communicate prohibitions and regulations in the Edo period. Kosatsu was usually placed at the important points of traffic, and such places were called Kosatsuba.Fuchu Kosatsuba was in the center of the Fuchu Shuku station where maltiple highways (Koshu-Kaido, Kawagoe-Kaido and Soshu-Kaido) crossed.
